Rhines Custom Monitors Stage 7 Review – Daydreamer

Rhines Custom Monitors Germany

Disclaimer: I am writing a review of the Rhines Stage 7 based on my personal impressions. I own a pair myself and was not requested to write this in any way.

Rhines Custom Monitors is a German-based company and was previously Compact monitors which split into Vision Ears and Rhines Custom Monitors currently.

The Stage 7 is supposedly tuned to reference and is the totl. It now has universal versions.

There aren’t many reviews on this pair even now, despite it being out for more than a year. While Rhines Stage 5 has been reviewed quite extensively, the flagship Stage 7 had seemed to simply vanish.

It was my first foray into customs, without much experience yet. I only had a gut-feel that a mid-centered iem will be to my liking more than the common U or V-shaped ones. Without a universal to audition, and only trying a custom that barely fit, I decided to pull the trigger.

It was a stupid and reckless decision at that point. I guess I burnt all my luck out when things all turned out well. Too well in fact, that when I plugged in the reshelled Stage 7 and hit play, I realised it was probably one of the best mistakes I’ve made.
